What exactly is an Email Agent? ▼
An Email Agent is an AI identity connected to a real inbox. It reads every incoming email, decides whether it can respond, drafts a reply grounded in your knowledge base, and either sends it automatically or puts it in your draft queue for review. It operates 24/7 in 160+ languages — handling the routine email load so your team only touches the conversations that truly need a human.
What counts as a "sent email" that uses my plan allowance? ▼
Your plan allowance decreases only when Eloquens actually sends an email on your behalf — a direct reply or a forward with AI-generated context. Reading emails, creating drafts, and routing decisions don't count. A long list of message types are also filtered automatically before Eloquens® AI even processes them and never count: spam, newsletters, marketing campaigns, auto-replies, out-of-office notifications, system alerts, social media notifications, order confirmations, payment receipts, and delivery failure notices.
What happens when Eloquens® AI doesn't know how to respond? ▼
If an email falls outside what Eloquens can confidently answer from your knowledge base, it escalates to the right person on your team based on your routing rules. You can also configure it to draft a partial response and flag it for human review, or simply route sensitive topics directly without attempting a reply at all.
Which email providers does Eloquens® AI support? ▼
Eloquens® AI currently connects to Gmail (Google Workspace), Microsoft 365/Outlook, and Kerio Connect. Setup for these providers typically takes minutes with no IT involvement required. If you need support for another platform, that's something we handle on the Enterprise side — reach out to our sales team to discuss your setup.
What is the Knowledge Base and how does it work? ▼
The Knowledge Base is where Eloquens draws its answers from. You upload documents, FAQs, product sheets, policies, or connect sources like Google Drive and OneDrive. When an email arrives, Eloquens searches your knowledge base to ground its reply in accurate, approved content — so it never makes things up. The Knowledge Base is available on all plans with no storage restrictions.
What happens when I reach my monthly email limit? ▼
You'll receive a notification at 80% and again at 100% of your monthly allowance. Once you reach your limit, Eloquens stops sending replies for the remainder of the billing period unless you add an Email Pack. Packs are a one-time purchase, available at any time, never expire, and stack on top of your plan allowance — no overage surprises.
Do unused emails from Email Packs ever expire? ▼
No. Email Packs never expire — unused sent emails stay in your account until you use them, regardless of how long that takes. Your core monthly plan allowance still resets every billing period, but Pack emails are yours to keep.
Is there a setup fee? Can I cancel anytime? ▼
No setup fees on any plan. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time — your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Annual plans are billed upfront and are non-refundable, but you can cancel before your renewal date to prevent the next charge. There is no refund on annual plans once the billing period has started.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan? ▼
Yes, you can upgrade at any time. Downgrading takes effect at the start of your next billing period. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is applied pro-rata — you won't be charged twice for the same period.
How does the annual plan work? ▼
Annual plans are billed upfront as a single payment — equivalent to 10 months of the monthly price, giving you 2 months free. The discount is applied automatically when you switch to annual billing. Annual plans auto-renew on your anniversary date unless cancelled before renewal.
